PLANT A WORLD TREE

I find solace from the woes of the human world by being in nature. Even if it’s only standing on my door stoop, taking time to take breaths of not-house air.

I’m reminded today about the first time I did that – stood out on my stoop, just breathing in the lovely clean sea-air of Santa Cruz. It was many years ago when the air really was clean.

I got so dreamy-spacey, visualizing things that made me happy, that helped bring love, joy and peace into the world. I saw the World Tree.

I ended up planting my own World Tree in my back yard.

You can do that, too. It can be any kind of tree – you just have to declare that it symbolizes the World for you.

Plant it, give it some tree food. Water it carefully for a month or so. After that, slack off. It will survive well on its own if you let it.

I planted a fig tree. Rich, fruity, very cool leaves like fingery-mitts – it’s still there, 40 years later, I’m told.

The owners changed over the years, but each one took it on as a special task to imbue it with their thoughts and prayers for world peace. Peace among boisterous, feisty, strong-willed humans.

Is it possible?

It better be, if we are to become part of the Galactic System. If we don’t evolve, we stay stuck in the matrix of this prison planet.

How do we intentionally evolve?

With every thought, desire, action, and word, aim for peace, getting-along-ness, joy, fun, delight, comfort, service, kindness, compassion, Right Action.

That’s how.

Forgive your own trespasses, but don’t do them again. Forgive others’ as well.

Intend fun, silliness, rich seriousness, happiness.

Intend joy.

Intend delicious ecstatic blissy delightful peace.

And dance a happy dance around your World Tree.
