LEG CRAMPS!

Do you get leg or foot cramps? Did you know those cramps are known to be caused by lack of water in your system, and possibly not enough magnesium?

Next time these debilitating cramps wake you up at night, or pounce upon you as you sit at dinner, or as you walk down the street, you might try the following:

1. Drink at least half a cup of water. Plain or bubbly, doesn’t seem to matter. Wait for a few minutes. The cramps should reduce in intensity very quickly.

2. You might take some magnesium. Now, I have found 2 different advisories for what kind of magnesium:

  • a. Magnesium glycinate: easily absorbed by the body, making it effective in quickly relieving leg cramps. Glycine, an amino acid in magnesium glycinate, has muscle relaxant effects that can help reduce cramping.
Unlike some other forms of magnesium, magnesium glycinate is less likely to cause digestive issues such as diarrhea or constipation.
  • b. Magnesium bisglycinate: For high absorption magnesium to help with leg cramps, consider magnesium bisglycinate. This form is known for its excellent absorption into the body and high tolerance, minimizing the stomach upset that can occur with other types of magnesium. It works quickly to address the causes of muscle cramps. It’s considered one of the purest and most bioavailable forms of magnesium.
  • c. You might try Magnesium citrate or Magnesium oxide. It’s important to note that the best type of magnesium for leg cramps varies depending on the individual.

(NOTE: I’m not a doc or physician, and am NOT prescribing, just sharing what has worked for me – follow these ideas at your own risk. The above info was gleaned from google AI. Please do your own due diligence.

Having suffered from leg cramps for years, I have done deep inquiry on this, and these were the 2 types that work best for me – I hope they work for you. Leg cramps suck!)
