CATTYPILLARS ON MY RED BUD TREE!

Sun + leaves = glory and delight!

Who is eating my Red Bud tree?

There are two times each day when the sun filters through the leaves of my Red Bud tree, lighting it up like stained glass. I never get tired of seeing it. The way the leaves shimmer in the slight whiff of breeze, and how the lighter parts of the leaves glow softly.

Today I noticed cattypillars chewing pretty little round holes in some of the leaves. What nerve they have, eating my tree!

I have no idea what kind of moth or buttyfly they will be – but I hope they don’t eat the whole tree before they burst through their metamorphosis. And then, too, what will they be eating?

I never had a tree outside my previous apartment’s bedroom window – this one has already given me so much delight, I’m so pleased I got to move here!

Oh – you may wonder why two times a day – the tree is aligned right between north and south – so it gets crispy clear bright easterly morning sun, and afternoon warm glowy westerly sun.

How cool is that! A double feature, every day!
