I saw a facebook reel today that really tickled me. It was yet one more coach-guru-advisor-etc guy. I almost scrolled past.

But I stopped scrolling by when he said he had a unique way of transforming anxiety in only a minute or two.

So since many of the folks I used to work with as a coach came to me with brutal, debilitating anxiety, I was curious to see how he dealt with it. And if it really did only take a minute or two.

His solution? Shake your whole body! As if you’re a dog, shaking water off after a swim.

I had to try it – why not? I remember years ago there was a guy in Oz who did shake therapy – whatever happened to him, anyway?

So anyway I tried it. My chronic pain thing has been hurting a lot lately, so why not see if the shaking did anything for that? And let’s see if it does anything other than make me collapse into a whining heap.

I stood in the middle of my kitchen, holding on to my walker. I tensed up my whole body as much as I could – like a cat preparing to do one of those mega-stretches they do – and I shook!

I shook, head to foot, for about 30 seconds. Then I had to stop for feeling too wobbly. Wasn’t even a whole minute, but I did it.

I didn’t fall. And for a few minutes, the pain ceased to hurt so much. And – here’s the kicker – I felt so happy! If I could, I would have started to dance! I still feel dancey-happy, and it’s been hours!

So shake-em, baby, and get happy!

You could do a lot worse for your thirty seconds! And pay someone a lot of money to not even get close to this kind of happy.

p.s. People have asked me why are the people at an angle?

Because when this design is on a scarf, they will be in the corners of the scarf that hang down when you tie it under your neck.

And they will appear upright! They will be what people see as you wear the scarf.

If I put the people in the center of the bottom of the design, you wouldn’t see them when you wear the scarf!

That’s why.
